“The PV Fair, which is among the most important fairs of the textile industry, to which we have organized the national participation for the 13th time, was our first international event with our New Board of Directors. Turkey was one of the 3 countries that attended the Premiere Vision Manufacturing Paris Fair the most this year. While a total of 200 companies participated in the fair in the fabric, leather, leather-clothing, ready-to-wear, accessories and design sections, Turkey became the second country that sent the most companies to the fair after Italy with 212 companies. Turkey was followed by France.”

117 professionals from 18 countries visited

Sertbaş said, “On the other hand, 22 manufacturers/exporters participated in the "manufacturing" section of the fair, in which EHKİB held national participation with 127 companies. The highest participation in the manufacturing department was from Turkey. A total of 3 professionals from 117 countries visited the fair for 18 days. Looking at the distribution of visitors to countries, the majority were European countries. Italy, Spain and England were the prominent countries. In an environment where the interest of the fashion industry is turning to Turkey, Turkey's participation in the fair with a high number of companies is very important for our industry and the prestige of our country.” said.

10 percent share in the target French ready-to-wear market

Chairman Sertbaş stated that they are generally satisfied with the interest of global buyers in our companies and emphasized that it is important for the exhibitors to continue their interaction with their existing customers while establishing new business contacts for three days.

“The next Fair will take place on 7-9 February 2023. The number of companies increases with each fair. We aim to attend the PV Fair, which will take place in February, with 30 companies, as before the pandemic. Our country takes a 6,5 percent share of the French ready-to-wear market. We want to increase our share in the French ready-to-wear market by regularly participating in the PV Paris fair, which is among the most important fairs of the textile industry. Our goal is to increase that to 10 percent.”

Germany, the Netherlands, the UK and Nordic countries in 2022, and the USA in 2023 are on the agenda.

Explaining that in the second half of 2022, contacts with stakeholders continue for the organization of sectoral trade delegations, especially Germany, Netherlands, England and Northern countries, Sertbaş emphasized that organizing an event for the USA next year is also on the agenda.
