National IFF and ATAK Helicopter with Missile Warning System Delivery to TAF!

According to the statement made by the Ministry of National Defense on its social media account, TAI production and Phase-2 version Atak helicopter was delivered to the Land Forces Command. This is how the Ministry of National Defense explained the development on its social media account;

“Another T-2 ATAK helicopter with phase-129 configuration has been taken into the inventory of our Land Forces Command. Thus, our 57th Atak helicopter was included in the inventory. Our helicopter, which is included in the inventory, is the first ATAK helicopter equipped with the National IFF Mode-5 Friend/Foe Recognition/Identification System and the 6-sensor Missile Warning System.”

Another T-2 ATAK helicopter with Phase-129 configuration has been taken into the inventory of our Land Forces Command. Thus, the 57th T129 ATAK helicopter was included in the inventory. In addition to the existing Electronic Warfare Self Protection Systems with ATAK Phase-2 developed by our domestic defense industry companies with national means; Radar Warning Receiver, Laser Warning Receiver, Radio Frequency Jammer Systems increased the self-protection efficiency of helicopters.

Within the scope of the T129 ATAK project carried out by the Presidency of Defense Industries, 73 ATAK helicopters produced by Turkish Aerospace Industries-TUSAŞ to date have been delivered to the security forces. TAI delivered at least 56 helicopters (5 of which are Phase-2) to the Land Forces Command, 13 Phase-2 helicopters to the Gendarmerie General Command, and 3 ATAK Phase-2 helicopters to the General Directorate of Security. 2 units of the ATAK FAZ-21 configuration, for which the first deliveries have been made, will be delivered in the first stage.

Delivery of T129 Atak Helicopter to Gendarmerie General Command

The new T129 Atak Helicopters developed by TAI were delivered to the Gendarmerie General Command. Announcing the development on his official Twitter account, President of Defense Industry Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir said, “We continue to add new ones to our soldiers in the sky! Finally, we delivered our T129 ATAK Helicopters to the Gendarmerie General Command.” had used the words.

In this context, the 2022th Atak Helicopter was delivered to the Gendarmerie General Command in March 11. Previously, T-2021 ATAK FAZ-10 was delivered to the Gendarmerie General Command in December 2021 (9th), 8 November (7th), October (129th) and August (2th).

With the order given by the Presidency of Defense Industries, it was announced that a total of 18 T129 ATAK helicopters would be delivered to the Gendarmerie General Command aviation units. However, in the report shared by the Gendarmerie General Command in March 2021, the number was increased to 24.
