The General Directorate of Turkish State Railways Administration (TCDD) will establish and operate a 81 MW solar power plant in Konya with an investment of 22,5 million TL.

A solar power plant will be established in Konya Province, Selçuklu District, within the scope of the “Work on Making the TCDD Responsibility Area Compliant with the Provisions in the Energy Legislation” signed between. The Aşağıpınarbaşı Unlicensed Solar Power Plant (GES), which will be established by the General Directorate of Turkish State Railways (TCDD) with an investment of 81 million TL, will have a capacity of 22,5 MW.
33,67 solar panels with 500 Wp power will be used in the power plant, which will be established on 54.000 hectares of pasture area. The economic life of the power plant is predicted to be 25 years. The electricity produced at the power plant will be increased to the mains distribution voltage by means of a transformer and transferred to the existing electricity grid.
