Life Has Begun To Return To Normal In Bartın, Where Selin Lives

In Kozcagiz town, which was most affected by the flood, some businesses started to operate. While the traces of the flood that were effective in Bartın were tried to be erased, life began to return to normal.

Cleaning works in the workplaces on Yalı Street and Kemer Square, which were closed as a result of the flooding of the river passing through the city center due to the downpour on June 27 and reopened to traffic after the water receded, have come to the stage of completion.

While the mud and sediments caused by the flood and flood caused by the heavy rain in the city center were cleaned with the feverish work of the teams, life in the region began to return to normal.

The mud left by the river water, which reached approximately 2 meters in Kemer Square, was cleaned with the support of the fire brigade and water sprinklers under the coordination of Bartın Municipality, and the square was opened to pedestrian and vehicle traffic.

While the cleaning in the streets and shops under the mud was finished, the works initiated by AFAD, UMKE, Gendarmerie, Police, municipality teams and related units to return life to normal in the flood-affected areas came to the stage of completion.

Some businesses such as coffee shops, cafes, markets, restaurants and grocery stores started their activities in Kozcagiz town, which was most affected by the flood. Citizens also clean the ground floor and gardens of their houses.

While AFAD volunteers from different provinces also support the works, the damage assessment studies of the relevant teams continue.
