The giant staff of Antalya DOB at the 13th International Istanbul Opera Festival, which is the first Opera Festival in the world to be held against the sea; Sultan IV, who carried out one of the most magnificent expeditions in history. Considering Murat's life, IV. He will perform the Murat Opera.

"IV. Murat” Opera; The period of conquests in Ottoman history, the mysterious life of the palace and the Ottoman Sultan IV, who was only eleven years old. It is about Murat's life story. Engin Suna will play the role of "Sultan Murat", Arzu Yaman will play the role of "Kösem Sultan", and Umut Tarik Akça will play the role of "Grand Vizier Topal Recep Pasha" in the work. The decor design of the 2010-act work, in which Antalya DOB artists will be on stage, is by Özgür Usta, the costume design is by Gazal Erten, and the lighting design is by Mustafa Eski.

The three-act opera, the libretto of which belongs to Turan Oflazoğlu, is presented to the audience by Haldun Özörten with a directorial approach that integrates with the decor and costume.

After its world premiere in Istanbul on May 3, 1980, “IV. World premiere of “Murat” Opera; It was performed at AKM under the direction of Okan Demiriş, the composer of the work, and under the direction of Cüneyt Gökçer, and played the first leading roles in IV. Murat : Mustafa Iktu; and Chief Soprano Kösem Sultan: Leyla Demiriş, they shared.

Composer Okan Demiriş, who created works with the longing to bring the public together with Opera, has taken his place in our cultural history on the way to the establishment of the national Turkish opera with his works that establish a comfortable dialogue with the audience. IV. Murat Opera; In addition to being an outstanding example of the Turkish Opera repertoire, it covers the period of conquests in Ottoman history, the mysterious life of the palace and the Ottoman Sultan IV, who was only eleven years old. It tells the life story of Murat.

The work within the scope of the festival will begin on Saturday, July 23, at 21.00, at the Haliç Congress Center Open Air Stage in Istanbul.
