With the understanding of just, egalitarian, transparent and accountable social municipality, IMM; It continued its activities uninterruptedly in every field, from cleaning to cutting-sales services, from transportation to delivering donations from philanthropists to families in need during the Eid al-Adha.

Service will be provided in 289 sales places and 16 slaughterhouses

2 on the European side of IMM, Kayaşehir and Alibeyköy; On the Anatolian side, there are 3 separate qurban sales and slaughter facilities in Pendik, Sancaktepe and Ataşehir. The facilities, which have an area of ​​approximately 232 thousand 500 square meters, will provide service in 289 sacrificial sales areas (paddock) and 16 slaughterhouses.

Istanbul Foundation, a 32-year-old IMM organization, is delivering the donations of philanthropists to those in need this holiday as well. In the campaign launched with the permission of the Istanbul Governor's Office, the price of the victim's share was determined as 3 thousand 600 TL. Sacrifices are slaughtered under the supervision of veterinarians in a hygienic environment, paying attention to religious obligations. The transactions that started on the first day of the holiday continue until the evening of the third day of the holiday. Cutting operations are done by recording visually in the presence of a notary public. The meat, which is rested for 3 days after the slaughter is completed, is cooked as cubes and then canned. This year, additional tripe and head trotter soup will be added to the sacrificial process, in which collagen broth was produced last year. Proceeds from the sale of sacrifice skins will be used to support education.

With the donations last year, Istanbul Foundation delivered canned food to 231 families and meat juice (non-additive collagen) to 17 thousand families with children. In the public survey conducted by the IMM Statistics Office last year, it was determined that no meat was allowed in 300 thousand houses in Istanbul.

Free public transportation during the holidays

During the Eid al-Adha, transportation will be free for all public transportation vehicles affiliated to IMM for 4 days. While additional measures are taken to prevent congestion, additional expeditions will be organized to the sacrificial slaughter areas of IMM in Pendik and Sancaktepe and to the cemeteries in need.
