In order to reduce the risk of forest fire after the increase in air temperature in Marmaris district of Muğla, TOMAs within the body of Marmaris Police Department irrigated the forested areas with pressurized water.
After the General Directorate of Meteorology warned of the risk of fire and the air temperature would increase by 4-6 degrees in the coastal areas, the Muğla Governor's Office prohibited entry to forest areas.
Marmaris Police Department teams carried out irrigation works in the forested areas around Armutalan, Beldibi and Bus Station in order to prevent forest fires that may occur through TOMAs stationed in the district after the weather was extremely hot and dry. In addition, the entrances to the forest areas are frequently checked by motorized falcon and dolphin teams.
