Alpay Marble Madencilik, which started its business life in the Kavaklıdere region of Muğla in 1996, increased the number of female employees from 6 to 24 in the last 71 years. When Melike Alpay Özmen, born in 1990, became the Chairman of the Board of Directors in 2017, the ratio of women among employees, which was 18 percent, increased to 2019 percent in 21 and 2022 percent in 25.

Alpay Marble Madencilik established a Gender Equality Committee for the continuity of the equality policy, the dissemination of this equality from recruitment processes to internal life and monitoring the processes. Adopting a policy of balance, diversity and equal rights between all male and female personnel, Alpay Marble Madencilik has 4 main objectives within the scope of the committee established:

Developing practices based on gender equality in recruitment and selection processes

Organizing Gender Equality trainings for all personnel

Informing about sexual abuse and sexual assault, harassment and mobbing in order to ensure a safe life in the institution and establishing an in-house complaint line

To work on the work-life balance of the personnel of the institution.

Alpay Marble Madencilik, which shows that women can take part in every field of business life, does not neglect the social rights of its employees. Among the arrangements made in 2022; Women with 0-3-year-old babies have the right to work from home, male employees with newborn babies have the right to increase the leave period from 5 days to 2 weeks, and women have an additional 2 weeks leave to their legal reports and leaves.
