FANUC Turkey 2022 Robot Integrators Meeting Held!

“FANUC Turkey 2022 Robot Integrators Meeting”, where innovative robot technologies are discussed today and tomorrow, was held in Istanbul by Japan-based FANUC, the pioneer of industrial robots. At the event hosted by FANUC Europe Senior Vice President Ralf Völlinger and FANUC Turkey General Manager Teoman Alper Yiğit, the robotic automation market, which reached 2022 billion dollars as of 46.2, and new technologies were discussed. In his presentation, Yiğit said that the foundation of the new technology center, which will be realized by FANUC Turkey with a total investment of 300 million TL, will be laid within this year, and shared information on robot technologies that continue to grow.

FANUC Turkey 2022 Robot Integrators Meeting, organized by FANUC, which directs factory automation as the only company that develops and manufactures every important component for hardware and software, was held at Sheraton Grand Istanbul Ataşehir. FANUC Europe Senior Vice President Ralf Völlinger and FANUC Turkey General Manager Teoman Alper Yiğit hosted the meeting, where topics including the opportunities of the new post-pandemic era, the outlook of global projections and innovative robot technologies were discussed and ideas were exchanged.

Robotic automation market will reach 2030 billion dollars in 102,4

FANUC Turkey General Manager Teoman Alper Yiğit, who took the floor after the opening speeches of the meeting, in his presentation titled “Opportunities in the New Era”, “In 2022, the robotic automation market has reached 46.2 billion dollars. A market of 2030 billion dollars is foreseen by 102,4. We are in a good industry that has a future as well as a difficult one. With the pandemic, the demand for automation has literally exploded. This opened the door to new sectors for robotic automation systems. Currently, there is a great demand for robotic automation systems in retail, logistics and e-commerce. We need to focus on these areas that offer good opportunities. In addition, we observe that there is a shortage of qualified personnel in the sector.

FANUC is growing in Turkey far above the global!

IV. Stating that the new era, which is described as the Industrial Age, brought more modular and flexible production processes in the robotics field, Yiğit said the following about FANUC's strategy in this process: “As FANUC Turkey, we currently have a team of 75 people and we are growing by 20 percent every year. Our average age is 32 and we have a dynamic team. When we look at our sales units between 2019-2021, we have achieved a growth trend of 215 percent, and when we look at orders, we have achieved a growth trend of 282 percent. If we reduce this to a robot, there is a 2019 percent growth from 2020 to 92, 2020 percent between 2021-23, and 2021 percent between 2022-26. This shows that we are ahead of the 8,6 percent growth in the global automation market. The biggest reason for this is that Turkey is still a developing market in the field of automation. Currently available data points to growth and our main goal in robotic automation is to ensure sustainable and healthy growth.”

The foundation of the new technology center, which will be realized with an investment of 300 million TL, is laid this year.

Noting that FANUC, which continues its rapid growth in Turkey, continues its investments, Yiğit said, “This year, we will lay the foundation of FANUC Turkey's new technology center, which we have been working on for a long time, in Sancaktepe. We are implementing our new technology center with a total investment of 300 million TL and we plan to finish the construction in October-November 2023. This new 10 thousand 300 square meter building is being built to feed the market more effectively. In this complex, there will be a showroom where we can exhibit and operate our products, an academy and application center where we can train qualified personnel for the sector, as well as our second repair center in Europe and a retrofit area. In addition, we want to provide added value to both our industry, industrialists and students.”

FANUC Turkey 2022 Robot Integrators Meeting came to an end after a plaque and souvenir photograph was presented to the participants.
