Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank stated that they repeat what was said at the historical Erzurum Congress today and said, “We will never abandon the Turkish political presence and dominance in our eastern provinces. The PKK should know this very well, as well as other formations that try to do this or foreign powers that take care of them.” said.

In his speech at the 103rd Anniversary Celebration Ceremony of the Erzurum Congress held in the historical congress building in Erzurum, Minister Varank said that Turkish history is the history of the heroic Turkish nation, who stood firm against those who tried to overthrow the Turkish state.

Stating that as the Turkish nation, they are reborn from their ashes every time they stumble and they struggle to survive forever, Varank said:

“We have written epics in every period of history and achieved great success. With Sultan Alparslan, we opened the doors of Anatolia in 1071, never to be closed. Since then, Anatolia has been our land, our hearth, our home for nearly 1000 years. Anatolia hosted ancient civilizations before us, but it has never been as hospitable to any state as it has to us. We also considered these lands sacred, which welcomed us with great pleasure. In order not to sacrifice even an inch of this ancient land, our mothers sent many of their lambs with henna to their deaths without blinking.”

WE SENT THE ENEMY FORCES WHERE THEY FROM EZE EZE

Minister Varank stated that Anatolia was watered with the blood of heroes in every period of history, and reminded that the Turkish armies said to the world, "Canakkale is impassable".

Stating that they lost many martyrs in Çanakkale, but they did not give their homeland, Varank said, “We sent the enemy forces, who said that they would conquer the Gallipoli peninsula by pounding, to the place where they came from. In the War of Independence, we brought the Greek army, the French army, the Great British army, all of them to their knees, who attacked like hungry wolves from the east and the west, from the north and the south. Thanks to our heroes who gave their lives for this land, we are able to live freely without needing anyone.” he said.

Emphasizing that they did not achieve any of these great achievements by leaning on someone's back, Varank said that the nation gave up their lives for these achievements and ran to their death without blinking.

Noting that the state was surrendered and derelict in 1918 with Mondros, Varank continued as follows:

“The Çanakkale Strait, the Bosphorus and Thrace were under the occupation of the Entente Powers, Mersin, Adana, Maraş, Antep and Urfa were under the occupation of the French, Antalya and Muğla were under the occupation of the Italians. We were experiencing foreignness in the Anatolian lands, which we have been a native of for a thousand years. British soldiers were walking around cities such as Eskişehir, Kütahya and Amasya, waving their arms. The Greeks were cruelly oppressing our people in Izmir and the Aegean Region. At such a time when the enemy had penetrated into us, the Turkish nation took action under the leadership of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Pasha. The Erzurum Congress went down in history as a manifesto of the War of Independence to begin.”

ERZURUM CONGRESS IS THE STORY OF A NATION'S RISING

Mentioning the importance of the Erzurum Congress, Varank said, “On that day, it was etched in everyone's minds that the homeland is a whole within national borders and cannot be divided. On that day, it was shouted to the traitors who demanded mandate and protection that the Turkish nation would never be subject to dependency. On that day, it was confirmed that the Turkish nation will fight this invasion attempt, as always. Above all, the Erzurum Congress was a beacon of hope for our nation that had begun to lose hope. In this sense, the Erzurum Congress is the story of the rise of a nation.” used his statements.

Minister Varank pointed out that the city of Erzurum is the first place where the torch of salvation that will travel the whole country was lit, and stated that the flowing waters stopped in Erzurum in every period of history when the word "homeland" was mentioned.

Stating that Erzurum has always been the “land of Dadaşlar” since history, Varank said:

“Nene Hatuns and Gazi Ahmet Muhtar Pashas lived in a way that befits the meaning of Dadaş. Just as the people of Erzurum wrote an epic in the Aziziye Bastion, on July 15, they showed that they will always protect the independence and future of this state and nation with their faith, belief and heart. Even though it has been 103 years, we continue to celebrate the Erzurum Congress as if it were yesterday. Have you ever thought why we do this? Because we are still a state under threat. Just as there were those who wanted to seize our eastern provinces for their own purposes that day, those dark forces are still at work today. You see, the PKK, the tool of foreign powers, is dying across the border under other names.”

WE WILL NEVER LEAVE THE TURKISH POLITICAL PRESENCE AND DOMINATION IN OUR EASTERN PROVINCES

Pointing out that the terrorist organization has no way to go, Varank talked about Turkey's success in the fight against terrorism.

Noting that there is a Turkey that destroys the terrorist organization in its lairs with Bayraktar, Akıncı, Atak helicopters and bunker-piercing bombs, Varank said, “You will see, just as we cut off the roots of this treacherous terrorist organization within the border, we will continue to make the world narrow for them outside the border. What we said 103 years ago, we are saying the same thing on July 23, 2022, that is, today. We repeat today what we said at the Erzurum Congress that day. We will never abandon the Turkish political presence and dominance in our eastern provinces. The PKK should know this very well, as well as other formations that try to do this or foreign powers that take care of them.” said.

Minister Varank emphasized that as Turkey, they will not give a premium to those who set their eyes on the country, and they will not open their eyes, as it was before, and said:

“We will continue to fight with determination against internal and external enemies. On July 15, we once again showed the whole world what this nation can do when threatened. This nation shields its body against tanks and bullets when necessary, and goes to death with a smile when necessary. He does not hesitate to sacrifice his children and lambs with henna when necessary, but he never gives up on this homeland. On the occasion of the 103rd anniversary celebration ceremonies of the Erzurum Congress, we once again commemorate our martyrs with gratitude and gratitude.”
