With the signed Memorandum of Understanding, it is aimed that Sabancı University and Boeing develop new projects for the aviation industry. With the agreement, which aims to meet the increasing needs of the aviation industry both in Turkey and globally, it is also aimed to increase cooperation for the development of advanced composite materials in aviation. In this context, especially competitive thermoplastic composites in terms of cost and efficient energy production, thermoplastic composites functionalized with nanomaterials and structural health monitoring processes were determined as the main areas that this mutual cooperation will focus on.

SU-TÜMER is one of the six universities in the world holding the AS9100 certificate, and it is the first university center in Turkey to have this certificate. This certificate is of critical importance in the international arena for institutions operating in the aerospace and defense industry.
