While the rough construction of the Haremlik-Selamlık building, which is the last structure of the 4 centuries old Bursa Mevlevi Lodge, whose reconstruction works are being carried out by the Metropolitan Municipality, is completed, the wooden assembly works continue rapidly in the Semahane section.

Bursa, which has unique works in every field from 8500-year-old archeopark to 2300-year-old Bithynia walls, from 700-year-old Ottoman artifacts to Republican era civil architecture examples, is turning into an open-air museum with the help of the Metropolitan Municipality. The Metropolitan Municipality, which has unearthed the 400-year-old Bursa Mevlevi Lodge, which was demolished and replaced with water tanks after a while after being abandoned to its fate, is restoring the building, which is located opposite the Pınarbaşı Cemetery and was founded by Cünûnî Ahmed Dede, one of the important names of the Mevlevi order in the 17th century, in its original form. The building, which consists of 3 sections, 'Semahane', 'Tomb, Meydan-ı Şerif and Matbah-ı Şerif' and 'Dedegan Cells, Selamlık and Harem Office', is brought to the city with its original identity.
Excavations were carried out by the Museum Directorate in the area where the Haremlik-Selamlik section, which is the last structure of the Mevlevihane and does not exist today, is located. The rough construction of the three-storey building was completed after the excavation works. In the Semahane section, wooden assembly works continue rapidly.

“It will add value to the region”

Metropolitan Mayor Alinur Aktaş said that the historical building, which was built in 1615, will be used as a Mevlevihane in accordance with its original. Expressing that the last building has now been restored, Mayor Aktaş said, “With the restorations and arrangements made by Osmangazi Municipality in Khans Region, Osman Gazi and Orhan Gazi tombs, Bey Palace, Zindan Kapı and Hisar region, the Mevlevihane that completes this area will be an excellent work when it is completed. . I believe that this place will turn into a full visit area both inside and outside Bursa.”
