First China Kyrgyzstan Uzbekistan Cargo Train Expedition Launched Today

The first international cargo train service connecting China, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan was launched today. Cargo train carrying 204 tons of cloth and cotton yarn departed from Urumqi International Land Port in Urumqi, the center of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, this morning.

After the goods on the train are delivered to Kashgar Train Station, it is expected to leave the Erkestam border gate by road and finally reach the city of Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

With the cargo train service, the multiple transportation method between China and European and Central Asian countries was developed and implemented. With this method, one-time escrow, payment, invoice and insurance are applied and can save 3 to 5 days compared to traditional rail transport.
