The best cities in the top 10 of the list were as follows; Edinburgh (Scotland), Chicago (USA), Medellin (Colombia), Glasgow (Scotland), Amsterdam (Netherlands), Prague (Czech), Marrakech (Morocco), Berlin (Germany), Montreal (Canada), Copenhagen (Denmark).

The media monitoring agency Ajans Press examined the number of news stories about Istanbul, which entered the world's lists and whose cultural heritage is a great megacity, which was reflected in the press. According to the information compiled by Ajans Press from the print and online press archives, it was recorded that there were nearly 1,5 million news stories about Istanbul this year alone. While Istanbul made a name for itself with tourism, history and cultural activities, it also took place in the media with different topics such as transportation fees, rent, traffic and cost of living.
