Izmir Metropolitan Municipality will renovate the Lausanne gate of Kulturpark, which has been one of the most important venues in Izmir's fair organization, culture and art history since the 1930s, in accordance with its original form. The works that will start on Sunday, July 17, 2022, will be completed before the 91st Izmir International Fair.

The Lausanne Gate of Kültürpark, which was registered as an immovable cultural property to be protected and worn out over time, will also be rebuilt according to its original 1938 version with the efforts of the Metropolitan Municipality. Two reinforced concrete towers in the center of the gate will be preserved and strengthened as part of the works that will start tomorrow (July 17, 2022) by the teams of the Department of Science and Construction Affairs. The entrance doors on the right and left of the tower will be demolished and rebuilt. The floor covering, which is concrete and key parquet, will be replaced with marble. Poles with national flags will be placed above the entrance gates. Renovation and strengthening works will be completed before the 91st Izmir International Fair.

Kulturpark Lausanne Gate will be closed to pedestrians during this period.
