The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure stated that the inspections for the bus companies were increased before the Eid al-Adha holiday and pointed out that the companies that are found to be selling tickets at exorbitant prices will be fined.

In the written statement made by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, it was noted that before the Eid al-Adha holiday, the General Directorate of Transport Services Regulation increased the inspections in passenger transportation. Pointing out that there was a significant increase in the number of passengers traveling by road during the holidays, it was stated that the demands were met by adding additional flights by both the Ministry and the bus companies during this period.

In the statement, it was noted that there were notifications that ticket fees were requested on the fare tariffs reported to the Ministry, and it was emphasized that these notifications were examined one by one. In the statement, it was emphasized that the holders of authorization certificates carrying out scheduled passenger transportation activities are obliged to comply with the fare tariffs notified to the Ministry. In the statement, it was announced that the inspections were increased during the Eid period so that the citizens would not be victimized, and said, "Especially during and after the Eid-al-Adha holiday, inspections will be carried out by both our Ministry and law enforcement officials regarding wage tariffs and those who apply exorbitant prices. In addition to the exorbitant ticket price in inspections; whether the buses are pirated transport, authorization documents, compliance with the time and fare schedule, appropriate qualification documents of the drivers and ticket inspection will be made. Administrative fines will be imposed on those who do not comply with the fare schedule in violation of the Road Transport Law.
