RTÜK Member Taha Yücel Becomes Assistant General Manager to Aselsan

RTÜK member Taha Yücel, who was selected from the AK Party quota, was appointed as the Deputy General Manager of ASELSAN.

Taha Yücel had been a member of RTÜK for about 16 years. Since the Parliament is on recess, the election of RTÜK members will be held in the new legislative year.

Who is Taha Yucel?

Born in 1971 in Istanbul, Taha Yücel graduated from Bilkent University Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department in 1993 with a high honor degree. In 1996, he completed his Master's Degree (MScEEE) with his thesis on digital terrestrial broadcasting planning at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Boğaziçi University and received his M.Sc. Engineer degree. In 1998, he received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Başkent University as the top of the program. He worked as a technical inspection specialist at RTÜK until 1998 and took charge in the Turkish Frequency Planning, Regulation Preparation and Allocation Commissions and the Radio and Television Standards Preparation Commission within the TSE. He worked as a senior manager in the private sector from 1998 to 2005. He gave seminars at home and abroad on broadcasting technologies, digital broadcasting, radio and television regulations, IPTV and Mobile TV. His internationally published articles are:

Taha Yücel, who was also the Chairman of the Technical Commission of the Television Broadcasters Association until 2005, stated that the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey; He was elected as a member of the Radio and Television Supreme Council with 13.07.2005 votes, for the first time as a result of the election held in the 126th Session dated 13.07.2011, and for the second time as a result of the election held in the 9th Meeting of 460. Taha Yücel, who also served as the Deputy Chairman of RTÜK for a while, was elected as a member of the Radio and Television Supreme Council for the third time as a result of the election held on 16.10.2017, in the 8th meeting, while he was serving as the Deputy General Manager and UGES Sector President at Aselsan.
