Bornova Mayor Mustafa İduğ and İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyerexamined the works at Bornova Solid Waste Transfer Station, which was established at the Bornova Municipality Cleaning Works Site and accelerated the garbage collection works. President İduğ thanked President Soyer for the establishment of the Station, which has been operating for about a year, and said that thanks to this, they gained speed in the cleaning of Bornova.

With the establishment of Bornova Solid Waste Transfer Station by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, Bornova Municipality garbage trucks no longer need to go to Harmandalı Solid Waste Storage Area every time. Trucks were able to collect garbage again by bringing the garbage they collected to Bornova Solid Waste Transfer Station. Thus, when the distance traveled to unload the truck is reduced, both time and fuel are saved. The number of trips of vehicles belonging to Bornova Municipality has increased.

While the new arrangements made at the Bornova Municipality Cleaning Works Site created a more functional environment, the new vehicles added to the fleet also contributed to the increase in the quality of the service.

We work in harmony

Bornova Mayor Mustafa İduğ stated that they are working to make Bornova a clean district and said, “With our İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and our Mayor. Tunç Soyer“I am very happy to be in harmony with this issue.” Stating that they used to go to Harmandalı and unload their cargo before, Mayor İduğ said, “The time savings we gained thanks to this investment contributed to making Bornova cleaner.”
