Over A Thousand Firms Attended the 2nd China International Consumer Goods Expo

The 2nd China International Consumer Goods Expo started yesterday in Haikou, Hainan province. Company representatives participating in the fair stated that the fair has become a platform where Chinese and foreign businesses share the opportunities brought by the Chinese market.

More than one thousand Chinese and foreign companies participated in the fair. Meanwhile, France, the guest country of the fair, included a total of 55 brands from 244 businesses on this platform.

Xavier CHATTE-RUOLS, Vice President of China Affairs of the French Trade and Investment Directorate, reminded that French companies are curious about China's large consumption market, versatile consumption demands and the advantages of the Hainan Free Trade Zone, and that many French companies have settled in Hainan.

Zhou Chunyi, Danone's deputy director of China affairs, pointed out that this is the first fair held after the implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP). Zhou noted that companies from RCEP member countries want to expand the Chinese market within the scope of the fair.

Ling Yunhai, Chief Coordinator of China's Public Affairs and Legal Department of Australia's brand Blackmores, pointed out that they participated in the theme of the fair, which is "Let's jointly share the opportunities to open up and jointly create the beautiful life". Ling stated that the fair not only provides the opportunity for different companies to share the Chinese market, but also helps promote Chinese brands to foreign customers.
