We are going through a period of the most serious economic problems in the history of Turkey. Continuing to increase rapidly, inflation reached its highest level in the last 20 years. When we look at the increase items, we see transportation in the first place and then food products. Both of these items constitute the main business areas of local governments. The exchange rate, which continues to increase in many items, from bread produced by our municipalities to energy and transportation services, continues to rise for various reasons, mainly due to wrong economic policies and worldwide supply problems. Even though our municipalities stand against these irresistible increases by using all their means, unfortunately there will be inevitable consequences of the destruction caused by this economic trend. Despite this, our municipalities will continue to protect our low-income citizens as much as they can.

The global climate crisis manifests itself in Turkey as well as in the rest of the world. Some problems caused by extraordinary precipitation and air temperatures are felt in many cities of our country. Undoubtedly, the most painful aspect of climate change is that our forests fall victim to fires. Every citizen of the Republic of Turkey should be extremely careful and act together in protecting our forests and not putting them at risk. After the fire disasters last year, we, the mayors, were happy to see that our ancient institution THK's planes were also prepared and used in fire extinguishing. We thank all the individuals and institutions who contributed to this study. We share with the public and those concerned that our 11 municipalities, which have the most effective firefighting forces in Turkey, are ready for duty 7/24, no matter where there is a fire.

Recently, the circular of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which puts meetings with foreign missions on permission, was also evaluated at our meeting. First of all, we underline that this circular is not in accordance with the law and democracy, and we declare that we will take legal steps to cancel the circular. In addition, there is an issue that should be disclosed to the public with this prohibition decision. There are two sides to such a decision. Persons and institutions that are restricted in communication with foreign missions. It is remarkable that such a notification is made unilaterally, that is, not to foreign missions, and it is against the conventions. Especially for mayors, this ban will have negative effects on "city diplomacy", "sibling city relations", "investment seeking" and "establishing international cooperation". The implementation of this practice, which does not come to mind even when democracy is interrupted, in 2 is a shame that will bend our country's neck in the international arena. It is important that the Turkish Foreign Ministry, which has a valuable and deep-rooted tradition, reconsiders this decision.

On this occasion, we once again congratulate all our citizens on the past Eid-al-Adha, and declare that we will continue to work with all our strength to make our country reach much better days.
