Antalya State Opera and Ballet, IV. With the Murat Opera, the period of conquests in Ottoman history, the mysterious life of the palace and the Ottoman Sultan IV when he was only eleven years old. He brought Murat's life story to the stage.

Performed as part of the 13th International Istanbul Opera Festival, the great master of opera composer Okan Demiriş's Murat IV Opera met with the audience at the Haliç Congress Center Open Air Stage.

He brought Murat's life story to the stage. One of the important productions of the General Directorate of State Opera and Ballet, IV. Murat Opera won the appreciation of art lovers from Istanbul.

State Artist, the great master of the Turkish Opera, composer and conductor Okan Demiriş, who passed away in 2010, in the IV. The libretto of the Murat Opera belongs to Turan Oflazoğlu. The director of the work, in which the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet Orchestra is under the direction of conductor Hakan Kalkan, bears the signature of Haldun Özerten.

The piece, which is one of the outstanding examples of the National Turkish Opera, was staged with a polyphonic performance of traditional and mystical music.

Sultan IV. Engin Suna played the role of "Sultan Murat" in the work, which is about the Ottoman Empire, palace life and throne struggles in the years 1623-1640 in Murat Han's capital.

Arzu Yaman as “Kösem Sultan”, Umut Tarık Akça as “Grand Vizier Topal Recep Paşa”, Göksay Yaran as “Nefi”, Işılay Meriç Karataş as “Dilfigar”, Baha İşler as “Silahtar” and Antalya DOB artists were on the stage. The decor design of the three-act work is by Özgür Usta, the costume design is by Gazal Erten, and the lighting design is by Mustafa Eski.
