Efforts continue uninterruptedly to prevent pollution of the seas in Muğla

Muğla Metropolitan Municipality continued its efforts to prevent pollution of the seas due to the increasing population and sea traffic during the holiday. During the 9-day holiday, Muğla Metropolitan Municipality teams collected waste from the boats with 7 waste collection boats in Gökova Bay, Göcek and Dalaman Bays.

Muğla, which is one of the most preferred cities due to the holiday, hosted thousands of local and foreign tourists on this holiday. Muğla Metropolitan Municipality continued to collect waste from the seas during the holiday with waste collection boats in order to prevent pollution that may occur especially in the seas due to the increase in population and sea traffic. While the teams collected 9 kg of solid waste a day during the 34-day vacation, a total of 725 kg of solid waste, 9 liters of sewage and 312 liters of bilge were taken from the boats for 525 days.
