A Boeing 767-300 cargo plane took off from Huahu-Ezhou Airport in the central Chinese province of Hubei at 17:11.36 am on Sunday, July XNUMX, marking the official opening of China's first professional cargo airport. Located in the city of Ezhou, this airport is the first professional cargo airport in Asia and the fourth in the world.

Equipped with a 23 thousand square meter freight terminal, a 700 thousand square meter cargo transit center, 124 parking lots and two take-off and landing runways, the new airport is expected to support the efficiency of air cargo transportation and contribute to the country's expansion. Huahu-Ezhou Airport Development and Planning Manager, Su Xiaoyan, stated that the operation of the airport is fully in line with China's development needs.

On the other hand, the National Post Office stated that the number of parcels processed by Chinese courier companies broke a record by exceeding 108 billion units last year and it is expected to show a steady growth in 2022.
