Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyerattended the graduation ceremony of İZELMAN Kindergartens. Mayor Soyer said, “If the state is the father, the municipality should be the mother. That's why our kindergartens are the most valuable assets of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. Soyer also said that a nature literacy course will be added to the curriculum.
A total of 13 students from 145 İZELMAN kindergartens, serving in Dikili, Kemalpaşa, Beydağ and Aliağa outside the city center, graduated. Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyer İZELMAN, which provides accessible education services in early childhood, shared the graduation excitement of the students in kindergartens with their families.

The graduation ceremony started with the songs of the Sustainability Choir formed by the little ones. Delivering their flags to the new students, the graduates presented flowers to President Soyer.

President speaking at the ceremony Tunç Soyer, “When we took office, we were saying that if the state is the father, the municipality is the mother. One of the most important tasks of a municipality while performing this duty should be kindergartens. Our kindergartens are the most valuable assets of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. Because no matter what we do, it cannot be as permanent as the education of children. We will continue to work to improve their education, to prepare them for the future. We know that what happens is up to the age of 7. Starting next year, we will start the nature literacy course and we will continuously improve our curriculum.”

Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. Adnan Oğuz Akyarlı, on the other hand, stated that one of the most important stages of life is the early childhood period and said, “Every virtue and knowledge we bring to our children in this process will enlighten them throughout their lives. We held an early childhood education workshop. In this workshop, the importance of raising individuals who adopt local values, internalize national values and strive for universal values came to the fore. We took the 17-point sustainable development goals of the United Nations as basis. We are constructing our curriculum so that our children can internalize these 17 items.”
President Soyer gave the students their graduation certificates after his speech. The graduation ceremony continued with the performances prepared by the students in İZELMAN kindergartens.
