Turkish Restaurant El Turco Receives Michelin Award in America

Recognized as the world's largest authority in the food and beverage industry, Michelin awarded El Turco, which opened in Miami last year, with the Bib Gourmand award and added it to the Michelin restaurant guide, which is very difficult to enter.

El Turco, owned by Nurdan Gür Yüzbaşıoğlu and Gökhan Yüzbaşıoğlu, was deemed worthy of this award with its modern Turkish-Ottoman cuisine menu.

Nurdan Gür Yüzbaşıoğlu, co-founder of El Turco, said in a statement; “The Turks have given great importance to eating and drinking from the past to the present, and the civilizations we interacted with in the historical process shaped our eating and drinking culture. We made our menu, which we created with the influence of this culture, special for El Turco with small touches and blended this menu with Turkish hospitality. It is very important for us to receive the Bib Gourmand award because it is an award given to places that serve delicious and well-presented food made from quality ingredients at an affordable price.

Our goal when opening El Turco was to offer good food with an affordable price policy, and the fact that this goal was evaluated and rewarded by Michelin made us both proud and motivated. We will use this motivation as a driving force to do better and grow.”
