The innovative PEUGEOT 9X8 Hypercar, which draws attention with its design that does not include the rear wing, was exhibited for the first time at Le Mans 24 Hours for motor sports enthusiasts and became the center of attention. Right after this event, TEAM PEUGEOT TOTALENERGIES once again attracted attention by announcing which car will be driven by which pilots while making its first show in Monza on 10 July.

The first race is at Italy's "Temple of Speed"

The PEUGEOT 9X8 Hypercar will participate in the FIA ​​World Endurance Championship for the first time at the Monza 2022 Hours (July 4), the 6th leg of the 10 series. to the show of strength in Italy; Paul Di Resta, Mikkel Jensen, Jean-Eric Vergne will participate in #93, while James Rossiter, Gustavo Menezes and Loïc Duval will participate in the PEUGEOT 94X9 Hypercar with #8.

PEUGEOT SPORT WEC Program Technical Director Olivier Jansonnie said: “After numerous test sessions, analysis of the emerging data, analysis of driving styles and relationships between drivers, we identified our two teams for the 9X8's first race in Monza. “The experience, technical data and team spirit provided by all our pilots were absolutely essential throughout the design and development process of the vehicle.”
