Step by Step Historical Peninsula Project Begins

IMM is launching the 'Step by Step Historical Peninsula' project to introduce the ancient culture of the Historic Peninsula to the young people of Istanbul. The history and traditional life culture of the city will be transferred to the young people with the free excursions. The first of the tour programs, consisting of 19 different routes, will be held on June 16 with the theme of 'Istanbul's Founding Myths and Palace Ceremonies'.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) is implementing the 'Step by Step Historical Peninsula Project', which will bring together the city's thousands of years of civilization accumulation with the young people of Istanbul. Young people who do not have the opportunity to explore the city or who come from out of town for university education have the opportunity to get to know the historical streets of the Historic Peninsula.

With the project undertaken by the IMM Youth and Sports Branch Directorate, young people will visit the Historic Peninsula by participating in tours accompanied by art history experts and guides. Experts will explain the points on the route to the young people in detail. Young people between the ages of 15-29 can register for the trips at genclikspor.ibb.istanbul.

5 DIFFERENT THEMES

Within the scope of the project, which aims to make you feel the privilege of living in Istanbul, tours will be made under 5 different headings.
