Samsun-Amasya and Amasya-Havza regional trains, which were suspended for a while due to road improvement works, started to operate again with a ceremony.

Pezuk emphasized that great investments have been made in the railway sector with the railway priority policies that have been carried out for 20 years, and that it is aimed to bring the transportation systems, including the main backbone of the railway, to an integrating structure and said:

Providing information about the Samsun-Sivas railway line, Pezük stated that with the Rehabilitation Project of the Samsun-Kalın Railway Line, which was started to be built in 1924 and put into operation in 1931 and was almost untouched until 2015, the infrastructure and superstructure of the 431-kilometer line were renewed and opened to freight transportation on November 1, 2020. reminded.

“The resumption of passenger transportation on the Samsun-Amasya line was delayed a bit due to the pandemic and even the ongoing technical studies. We are happy to restart the regional train operation between Samsun-Amasya with a length of 133 kilometers and Amasya-Havza with a length of 47 kilometers, which has been modernized between Sivas and Samsun, in a more comfortable way than before.
These regional trains, which are expected to serve 200 thousand passengers a year, will make 2 trips between Samsun-Amasya-Samsun in the morning and evening, and a total of 6 trips between Amasya-Havza-Amasya.
