In the Azganlık District of the Iskenderun district of Hatay, one of the 3 workers lost their lives and two were injured when the locomotive, which did not have mechanics, was hit by a malfunctioning locomotive.
The locomotive, whose brake failed, crashed into the platform where the workers repairing the electrical wires on the railway line. 112 Emergency Medical teams, who came to the scene upon the notice, determined that one of the workers, Abdullah Dönegel, died. Two injured workers were taken to Iskenderun State Hospital by ambulance.
Two drivers were detained as part of the investigation into the accident.
