İzmir, the winner of the European Award given by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe to cities that most actively adopt European values and undertake the dissemination of these values, continues to contribute to inter-city cooperation. Continuing to take concrete steps with the vision of Izmir Metropolitan Mayor Tunç Soyer to make Izmir a world city, the Metropolitan Municipality added a new one to its Izmir Houses in different parts of the world. The Izmir House in Renewable Energy House, which uses completely renewable energy, in front of the European Parliament in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, was opened by President Soyer. Seyit Torun, Deputy Chairman of the Republican People's Party, also attended the opening.

With Izmir Houses opened in various cities of the world, especially in Europe, it is aimed both to contribute to the promotion of the city and to develop economic cooperation.
