President Soyer emphasized the importance of young people's participation in cultural and artistic activities, and young people expressed their happiness for this support given during the economic crisis.

Young people between the ages of 12-30 who applied to the project were entitled to receive 35 thousand tickets. 7 thousand young people had 5 tickets that they could use throughout the year. Young people started to attend concerts, cinema and theater events free of charge by registering on izmir.art and İzmir Art mobile applications.
Mayor Soyer emphasized the importance of young people's participation in cultural and artistic activities and said, “Young people need to socialize and feed their souls. There are so many young people who can't remember the last time they went to a concert, festival or theater! This 35 thousand ticket project is for them,” he said.
“In such a period, this support has been very good”
Thanks to the application, young people have the opportunity to participate in many activities that they dream of without spending their limited budget. Emre Ekici, one of the young people who benefited from the project, said, “I applied through the İzmir Art application. Already the application says everything about the process. My application has been approved. While browsing related events, I found the concert I wanted. The events are really good. Such support was really good, especially since we were not very comfortable economically during this period.”
“Concerts, theaters are very expensive”
Elif Akçay, on the other hand, said that she was aware of the project on social media and said, “We immediately joined and our application was approved. We were entitled to 5 tickets. We will make the best use of them. It's been very good for us. Because concerts and theaters are very expensive. Coming to the events with these opportunities makes us happy.”
“We have at least 500 liras left in our pocket”
Tayfun Gölcü said, “We have 5 tickets in total. If we calculate it from 100 liras, we have at least 500 liras in our pocket. As we are students, it has been very advantageous,” he said. Serdar Sağlam said, “It is a good application, the state of our economy is clear. It is very important that young people can attend cultural and artistic events. It is very valuable for Turkey's future, for its future as well," he said.
From theater to cinema
With the “Your Ticket is in İzmir Art” project, 25 seats were reserved for each play of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality City Theaters (İzBBŞT); Thus, it is planned that 2 young people will watch the theater plays for free until the end of the year. 500 tickets from boutique cinemas, which have a place in the cultural life of the city, and 2 thousand tickets from private theaters with halls were included in the project. In addition, seats were allocated for young people in special concerts, theater and similar performing arts events held in culture and art centers belonging to the Metropolitan Municipality, taking into account the capacity of the halls. In this context, a quota of 500 thousand tickets was opened for the events at Kültürpark Atatürk Open Air Theatre, Bornova Aşık Veysel Open Air Theatre, Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center, Yeşilyurt Mustafa Necati Cultural Center and Basmane Bıçakçı Han.
