Boat Export to Qatar from ARES Shipyard

The Ministry of Interior of Qatar announced that 3 rapid response boats will be procured from ARES Shipyard. Deliveries will begin in 2023. In this context, ARES Shipyard and Qatar have developed relations. In the past six years, ARES has successfully delivered a new generation patrol boat fleet of 31 vessels for the Qatar Coast Guard.

The advanced composite hulled ARES 40 rapid response boat can carry out rapid response and escort missions as well as human smuggling and anti-smuggling operations. In this context, the boat has a remarkable speed capability of 60 knots.

With a range of over 40 nautical miles, ARES 250 has the capacity to cover all Exclusive Economic Zones surrounding the Qatar Peninsula. In addition, the boat is capable of carrying remotely controlled and auto-stabilized 12,7mm weapon stations supported by electro-optical sensors on the roof.

ARES 150 HERCULES ADKGs are exported to Bangladesh

Turkish shipyard ARES will build the ARES 150 HERCULES Offshore Patrol Ship (ADKG) for the Bangladesh Coast Guard. In this context, ARES 150 was previously built by ARES Shipyard for the Qatar Coast Guard. In the GISBIR statement, it was stated that “ARES 150 HERCULES Offshore Patrol Ship, developed by ARES Shipyard, is preparing for its second export voyage”.

Recently, we mentioned the development by Defseca that Bangladesh will procure offshore patrol vessels from ARES Shipyard. In this context, Bangladesh Coast Guard ordered ARES 150 HERCULES Offshore Patrol Ship from ARES Shipyard.

Within the scope of the project, it is planned to supply 9 ARES 150 HERCULES Offshore Patrol Ships (ADKG). The first ship will be produced in Antalya by ARES Shipyard and the remaining 8 ships will be produced in Bangladesh with the technology transfer provided.
