Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş stated that they have implemented one of the biggest greenhouse projects in Beypazarı, with his social media accounts.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality is establishing greenhouse facilities in order to contribute to employment and produce its own flower for a green Capital.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, ANFA General Directorate, which aims to develop seedlings purchased from local producers to contribute to employment, to grow new plants and to collaborate with contracted producers, opened one of the largest greenhouse projects in Beypazarı Çakıloba Mahallesi.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş shared on his social media accounts that the project came to life and said, “We are proud of realizing the biggest greenhouse project of our municipality in Beypazarı. By growing flowers and aromatic plants in an area of ​​12 thousand square meters, we decorate our city and contribute to employment. We are working to leave a green and productive Capital for the future.”

Target: Contribution to employment by encouraging production

After Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş took office, ANFA General Directorate decided to work with the producers of the Capital city with the contracted production method after the importation of plants and flowers was terminated, and aims to increase its production capacity by establishing greenhouses at suitable points in the Baskent.

In the greenhouse established on a total area of ​​8 thousand square meters, 4 thousand square meters of which is closed and 12 thousand square meters is open, in Beypazarı Çakıloba Mahallesi; Aromatic plants such as lavender, thyme, rosemary, sage and mint will be grown mainly.

Thanks to the soda source, heating costs will decrease

For a greener Capital, plants to be purchased from contracted producers will be produced, and roses and hall plants will also be produced in the greenhouse operating at full capacity.

Collaborating with ETİ Soda with the aim of reducing plant production costs, ANFA General Directorate will respond to an important need in plant and flower production in Ankara with its new greenhouse facility, which will both contribute to employment and reduce heating costs by using the hot water extracted from the soda source.
