Bursa Metropolitan Municipality is making the city square more modern and comfortable with a comprehensive study from ground renewal and arrangement to lighting systems, from infrastructure improvement to landscaping applications.

The Metropolitan Municipality, which has implemented projects that will carry Bursa to the future in every field, from transportation to infrastructure and superstructure, from sports to historical heritage, on the other hand, is making a great effort to bring a more modern and aesthetic appearance to the city textures, which are worn out and deteriorated by straw. The Metropolitan Municipality, which demolished and removed 67 unplanned buildings on the area that was previously seen as a 'square' in the Implementation Zoning Plan and located to the east of the city square, also gave the start of the works that will make the region look aesthetically pleasing. With the completion of the construction of the City Square - Terminal tram line, a large-scale rehabilitation work has now been started in the region.

Refreshing from scratch

The works that will completely change the floor and silhouette of the region cover a total area of ​​17 thousand square meters. Within the scope of the works, first of all, rain water channel and drainage systems will be manufactured. After this work, the hard floors covering an area of ​​13 thousand square meters will be completely replaced. The square, which will be equipped with modern lighting elements, will be made more comfortable for pedestrians both day and night. In addition, the existing green texture will be preserved and further increased, and the gray appearance of the city square will be adorned with green, with landscaping covering an area of ​​​​approximately 3 thousand square meters.
