Intervention to the fire that broke out in the forest area for an undetermined reason in Muğla's Marmaris district continues. The Red Crescent teams, who have been on the field since the first moments of the fire, also provide nutritional support to the responders.

Response to the forest fire, which started in the evening hours of June 21 in the Amazon, Bördübed and Yediadalar regions of Muğla's Marmaris district and grew later in the night with the effect of the wind, continues. As soon as we got the news of the fire, the personnel transferred to the region from the Kızılay İzmir Disaster Response Center, Marmaris Branch, Muğla Branch, and Hinge Branch continue their work.

Making a statement on the disaster on his Twitter account, the President of the Red Crescent Dr. Kerem Kınık said, “Our Red Crescent disaster feeding capacity has been mobilized in the field to support the professional teams responding to the Muğla/Marmaris forest fire and our affected citizens. Our additional volunteer force is ready in the region for possible needs," he said.

Red Crescent, which provides soup, food, catering materials, cold-hot drinks, water and bread to the fire extinguishers and citizens in the region with its personnel and volunteers, will continue to carry out its activities in the region until the fire is brought under control.
