President Erdoğan said: “As an ally that pays the highest price in all respects within NATO, we have calmly welcomed the provocations of Greece, which has not even responded to our military delegation meeting invitations for the last two years. However, we see that our patience and composure are misunderstood by our interlocutor. Turkey does not violate anyone's rights and laws, but it does not violate anyone's own rights and laws," he said.

“We are a country that is pleased to share with our friends and allies all the possibilities and capabilities we have in the defense industry. At a time when the world is going through a radical restructuring process in terms of political, economic, military and social aspects, such cooperation gains much more importance. Turkey continues to successfully face the world's most critical challenges, such as the fight against terrorist organizations and irregular migration.

In addition, we are making efforts that no one can deny in order to establish peace, stability and security everywhere from the Caucasus to Africa, from the Black Sea to the Mediterranean. In terms of humanitarian aid, we rank first in the world when compared to our national income. Our Turkish Armed Forces has a special place in this whole picture. Our heroic army makes us proud with its achievements in every field, from border security to our cross-border operations, from the fight against terrorism to the international missions we carry out within the scope of NATO and bilateral agreements.”

“We are the only ones who have fought against PKK/YPG”

Emphasizing that the results achieved by the Turkish Armed Forces in the fight against the world's most dangerous armed terrorist organizations, from the terrorist organization PKK/YPG to DEASH, are unprecedented, President Erdoğan said: We carried out the first and only operation against . Likewise, we are the only ones who have fought against the PKK/YPG, which poses a threat to the territorial integrity, national unity, and sovereignty rights of both our country and our neighbors.” said.

Recalling the Euphrates Shield in 2016, the Olive Branch in 2018, the Peace Spring in 2019, the Spring Shield in 2020 and the ongoing Claw operations, which the Turkish Armed Forces successfully completed, President Erdoğan said: “We are committed to protecting our borders with a 30-kilometer-deep security line. We implement it step by step. This legitimate security policy of Turkey not only drives terrorist organizations away from our borders, but also contributes to the peace and stability of our neighbors.” used the phrases.

President Erdoğan continued as follows: “I would like to express here once again that we will never allow the establishment of terror corridors near the borders of our country, and that we will definitely complete the missing parts of our security line for this. We hope that none of our real allies and friends will oppose these legitimate security concerns of our country, and in particular, will not prefer terrorist organizations. It is our right to expect our allies and friends to understand and respect our legitimate concerns on this issue.”

“We invite Greece to stop arming the islands with non-military status”

President Erdoğan emphasized that the Russia-Ukraine War showed how fragile and fragile the peace and stability in the world is. Pointing out that the NATO alliance needs unity and solidarity more than ever due to the conflicts and potential threats in the region, President Erdoğan said: “We regret that strategies that threaten our country's rights and interests based on international agreements have been resorted to in the Aegean, Eastern Mediterranean and Cyprus at such a critical time. we hear.” he said.

Expressing that some Greek politicians, with an unprecedented recklessness in the world, are trying to stay on the agenda with words and actions that are far from reality, contrary to reason, logic and law, President Erdoğan said:

“However, there are countless examples before us that such issues are too sensitive to remove spoilers for domestic politics and can have serious consequences. Those who waste their country's resources, energies and time with dreams that they can never afford will surely give an account of this before history. On this occasion, we once again invite Greece to stop arming the islands with non-military status and to act in accordance with international agreements. I'm not kidding, I'm serious. In particular, this nation is determined and if this nation says something, they will follow."

President Erdoğan said: “We are warning Greece again to stay away from dreams, rhetoric and actions that will result in regret, just like a century ago, and to come to its senses. Behave yourself." said.

President Erdoğan stated that they leave the meaning of demanding a maritime jurisdiction area of 2 thousand kilometers for Meis Island, which is less than 600 kilometers away from the mainland of Turkey and more than 40 kilometers away from Greece, to the discretion of the international community.

Underlining that the inclusion of non-military islands in various exercises, trying to use NATO and third party countries as a tool for this unlawfulness, has no meaning beyond an effort that will end in disaster, and continued as follows:

“Mr. Mitsotakis, I guess he is making touristic landings on the islands. You can't get anywhere with this. Despite being a member of the European Union, Greece still continues to put pressure on the Turkish minority living in Western Thrace, Rhodes and Kos, ignoring the values of the union, universal human rights and international agreements. Allowing Greece, which was convicted by the European Court of Human Rights in 1999 and 2006 for its unlawful practices, to continue its oppressive attitude is an example of double standards. When it comes to Turkey, we follow as an example that those who are hawkish do not speak out against Greece, which ignores the European Court of Human Rights, openly supports terrorist organizations, and inflicts all kinds of inhumane treatment on asylum seekers.”

Stating that as an ally that pays the highest price in all respects within NATO, they calmly welcomed the provocations of Greece, which has not even responded to military delegation meeting invitations for the past two years, President Erdoğan said: “However, we see that our patience and composure have been misunderstood by our interlocutors. Turkey does not violate anyone's rights and laws, but it does not violate anyone's own rights and laws. he said.

President Erdoğan said: “Essentially, this country has always relied on someone and made similar moves as a tool for someone else's calculations since the day it was founded. We warn Greece again, just like a century ago, to stay away from dreams, rhetoric and actions that will result in regret, and to come to its senses. Behave yourself. Turkey will not relinquish its rights in the Aegean and will not refrain from using the powers granted to it by international agreements on the armament of the islands when necessary. said.

“Every saving made by the Greeks shows the accuracy of this decision”

On the other hand, expressing that the ambivalent and imposing attitude of the Greek Cypriot side did not leave any solution other than the equal, sovereign and independent two-state method in Cyprus, President Erdoğan said, “Everything the Greeks do, from training priests to heavy weapons, to opening offices for terrorist organizations, will prove the accuracy of this decision. shows." he said.

Emphasizing that the hydrocarbon exploration and drilling activities in the Eastern Mediterranean will continue in accordance with the United Nations practices and other international practices, President Erdoğan said, “We did not and will not allow any savings or action to be taken in our jurisdictions despite us.” he said.

“We fulfill the requirements of our responsibilities in a wide area”

Stating that Turkey has responsibilities stemming from its history and civilization in addition to its obligations based on international agreements, President Erdoğan said:

“We fulfill the requirements of these responsibilities in a wide area from Azerbaijan to Libya, from the Balkans to Central Asia. With this understanding, we stood by our brothers during the events that took place in Karabakh and the occupied Azerbaijani territories in the last months of 2020. In this war, which started with the provocation of the Armenian side and ended with the victory of Azerbaijan at the end of a 44-day struggle, the occupation that lasted for nearly 30 years in the region came to an end. As Turkey, we have provided all kinds of support to our Azerbaijani brothers with the understanding of two states, one nation. Today, the Russian and Turkish Armed Forces are working together in the joint center for the ceasefire to be permanent. In addition, we are in close cooperation with our brothers on the modernization, training, mine search and destruction of the Azerbaijani army."

Studies are carried out to contribute to peace

“We provide all kinds of support for our brothers and sisters, with whom we have deep-rooted ties for five centuries, to live in stability and security in Libya.” President Erdoğan said that they are carrying out activities that will contribute to peace and tranquility in many geographies such as Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Somalia and Qatar.

Emphasizing that the heroic Turkish army, whose past is full of glory and honor, will continue to undertake tasks that will bring peace to seven climates and three continents, inspired by its ancestors, President Erdoğan said:

“Our army has always shown its style and rank by not harming the innocent in the slightest in any operation, especially in any operation, or duty it has carried out so far, and by always protecting the victims. The soldiers of a country that had no shame in the past, such as colonies, massacres, and brutality, would not have done otherwise. With these feelings, I would like to thank once again all the personnel of our Turkish Armed Forces and friendly and brotherly countries who participated in the Ephesus-2022 Exercise. As my esteemed Minister of Defense has expressed, I commemorate all our martyrs, from Sultan Alparslan to Gazi Mustafa Kemal, with particular mercy. On behalf of myself and my nation, I would like to express my gratitude to all the members of our National Defense and General Staff, from the top to the bottom, who contributed to the organization.”

After the speeches, President Erdoğan and his entourage toured the Defense Industry Exhibition.
