President Erdoğan attended the funeral prayer of religious scholar Mahmut Ustaosmanoğlu, who died at the age of 93 in the hospital where he was treated for kidney disease yesterday.
President Erdoğan passed from Atatürk Airport, where he arrived at noon, to Fatih Mosque. President Erdoğan, who stood by the Friday prayer led by President of Religious Affairs Ali Erbaş, Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdağ, Minister of Youth and Sports Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu, Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu, Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu, Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, Presidency Sözcüsü İbrahim Kalın, AK Party Deputy Chairman Numan Kurtulmuş, AK Party Group Deputy Chairman Mahir Ünal, Science Dissemination Foundation Chairman of the Board of Trustees Bilal Erdoğan and AK Party Istanbul Provincial President Osman Nuri Kabaktepe.
Meanwhile, Erbaş read the Quran and prayed before the prayer.
