Samsun Metropolitan Municipality continues its preparations for TEKNOFEST 30, which will be held between 4 August and 2022 September. The municipality teams, which took care of the Doğu Park Amphitheater area, which is one of the places where various events will be held within the scope of the festival, repaired and renewed the wooden seats that were rotting due to climatic conditions.
Excitement is rising in Samsun, which will host the world's largest Aviation, Space and Technology Festival (TEKNOFEST) 2022. The festival, which will play an important role in the national and international promotion of the city, will contribute greatly to the education of primary, secondary and high school students, as well as their development in the field of information and communication technologies.
Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, which sees the festival to be held between 30 August and 4 September as an important opportunity for the development of the city's tourism, accelerated its infrastructure services. From the Smart City Traffic Safety project to environmental regulations, municipality teams are trying to train them for TEKNOFEST by meticulously carrying out their activities in every field.
The Machinery Supply and Repair Department, which works to make the Doğu Park Amphitheater area suitable for technology competitions, has undergone maintenance and repair of all the wooden seats that have started to deform and rot due to climatic conditions and the grilles fixed to the concrete. The 16 cubic meters of seats, which were cleaned, painted and varnished in the wood workshop, were mounted in their places. While the life of the seats made of pine wood was extended, wastage was prevented.
War Kaygusuz, Head of Machinery Supply and Repair Department, gave information about the renovation of wooden seats and said that they completed the work in a short time. Expressing that they repaired all of them in order not to waste, Kaygusuz noted that 250 thousand TL to be paid in case of replacement, remained in the municipality's safe. Expressing that the seats have been placed in their places, Kaygusuz noted that they will function for at least 5-6 more years.
