Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Police teams sealed the fossil fueled overflow boats in Eğil.

Diyarbakır Water and Sewerage Administration (DİSKİ) General Directorate terminated fossil fuel boat transportation within the scope of the "Dicle Dam Lake Basin Protection Plan", which is one of the city's most important drinking and utility water resources.

Working within the framework of the "Dicle Dam Lake Basin Protection Plan", DISKI banned fossil (petroleum) fueled boat transportation in order to prevent pollution and risks that may occur in the Dicle dam lake in Eğil district.

Within the scope of the decision taken, the Metropolitan Municipality Police Department, Eğil Municipality, District Police Department teams sealed the fossil fuel-using and unlicensed boats and ended their activities on April 1.

9 boats were re-sealed on the grounds that they violated the rule by breaking the seals and polluted drinking water by using fossil fuels, and fines were applied to those who transported them.

DISKI continues its efforts to ensure that boat transport activities can be carried out with green energy (solar or electricity).
