9-Day Merkezefendi Traditional Medicine Festival Has Started

Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank opened the 23rd Merkezefendi Traditional Medicine Festival organized by Zeytinburnu Municipality.

Minister Varank, in his speech here, said that today's developed and modern medicine is based on traditional medicine dating back to the Prophet. Varank said, “We can say that traditional medicine is a science based on plants, especially with the forces that Allah Almighty placed in plants. In this sense, it is very important that our Zeytinburnu Municipality has been giving importance to this field for 23 years, bringing traditional medicine to the fore, turning it into a festival, and carrying out activities that can be understood by young people and children.” he said.

WE CARE ABOUT DEVELOPING TURKEY

Minister Varank talked about the nation's coffeehouse and other services that were brought to life in Zeytinburnu and said that they see how happy the young people are in these coffee houses, which have started to become widespread throughout Turkey. Varank said, “For 20 years, we have been concerned with the development of Turkey and for each of our citizens living in Turkey to benefit from the best services. We struggle and strive for it. We want to crown these works with such beautiful works and beautiful organizations.” made a statement.

Talking about services such as the national garden and ice rink implemented in Zeytinburnu, Varank said, “We need to deliver the best service to our citizens, which they deserve. With this understanding, we will continue our services. We will continue these services both in the central government and in our municipalities. As long as our citizens are satisfied with us, at the end of the day they say, 'May Allah be pleased with us, they provided us with this service'. When we hear the phrase 'May Allah be pleased with you', there is no one happier than us.” he said.

MESİR PASTE DISTRIBUTED

After the speeches, the festival started with the distribution organization of mesir paste, which was carried out by Minister Varank, Zeytinburnu District Governor Zekeriya Güney, Zeytinburnu Mayor Ömer Arısoy and some deputies. Various herbal teas and mesir paste were presented as gifts to Varank, who toured the stands in the festival area.

ORGANIZING THE 23TH

Organized for the 23rd time this year, the “Merkezefendi Traditional Medicine Festival” will host traditional medicine and medicinal plants workshop trainings, trips to the Zeytinburnu cultural route, cooking competition, concerts and various events.

9 DAY WILL GO

During the 9-day event, a different event will be held every evening. Names such as Sakiler, Rumeli Orhan & Kemal, Cengiz Özkan, Ekin Uzunlar and Murat Dalkılıç will also take the stage as part of the organizations to be held in different areas, from cooking competitions to the commemoration of Merkez Efendi, from the Mevlevi response to workshops, seminars and children's activities.
