A new announcement has been published on the official site and Twitter account of the Electricity Gas Bus General Directorate (EGO). The announcement was published with the title of "Announcement on the abolition of mask requirement in public transport".

In the decision of the ANKARA GOVERNORSHIP PROVINCIAL HIFZISSIHHA BOARD (UHK) dated 31 May 2022 and 2022/7; Stating that the coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic is far from being a factor that threatens public health, which is a part of public security, and that individual protection will be sufficient instead of measures for all the sector and our citizens; In line with the circular of the Ministry of Interior General Directorate of Provincial Administration dated 30 May 2022; It has been decided to end the practice regarding the obligation to wear masks in public transportation vehicles.

In this context, the mandatory mask application in EGO General Directorate public transportation vehicles (Bus, Metro, ANKARAY and Cable Car) was terminated as of 01 June 2022. Hygiene practices in the vehicles serving within our organization will be continued meticulously in the new period, as before the pandemic period.
