US-based global e-commerce giant e-Bay is closing Gittigidiyor and ending its activities in Turkey.
The company does not expect the closure of GittiGidiyor to have a tangible impact on its second quarter or fiscal year balance sheet.
GittiGidiyor brought about 4 million active buyers to eBay as of the end of the first quarter.
Sellers will not be able to post new ads on GittiGidiyor platform as of today, and buyers will not be able to make new purchases as of July 18. Accounts will remain open until September 5, 2022.
eBay, which bought 2011 percent of Gittigidiyor in 93, bought all the shares in 2016.
Ebay, which is traded on the Nasdaq stock exchange, does not expect the closure of Gittigidiyor to have a significant impact on its balance sheet for the second quarter and the full year.
Ebay shares have lost 36,81 percent year-to-date.
