The BRSA has determined the general maturity limit for consumer loans as 50 months for amounts ranging from 100 thousand to 24 thousand liras, and 100 months for amounts over 12 thousand liras.

The Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency decided to set the general maturity limit for consumer loans as 50 months for loans above 100 thousand Turkish liras and below 24 thousand Turkish liras, and 100 months for loans over 12 thousand Turkish liras.

The BRSA also includes 25 percent of the minimum payment amount of the term debt for credit cards with a limit below 20 thousand Turkish liras; decided to set the minimum payment amount as 25 percent of the term debt for credit cards with a limit of more than 40 thousand Turkish liras.

BRSA, within the scope of ongoing studies; Differentiation of the loan value ratio in housing loans on the basis of amount, directing loans to productive areas such as investment and export in order to improve the selective approach, especially commercial loans, increasing the risk weight of loans to be extended to legal entities that carry out derivative transactions with non-residents, and introducing swap opportunities for non-residents. He said that action will be taken immediately.
