Seferihisar took a breath with the main road work of Highways

The ongoing bad road problem in Seferihisar causes difficulties for both citizens, tradesmen and visitors with the arrival of the tourism season. The bad roads in the district center cause tourists not wanting to enter the center. The main road, whose works have been completed by the Regional Directorate of Highways, provides the intercity connection of the district, allowing the citizens to reach the district comfortably.

With the opening of the summer tourism season, the problem of bad roads in the center of Seferihisar and between the neighborhoods, where the visitor density has increased, is giving the residents and visitors of Seferihisar a hard time. On the other hand, the main road, whose works have been completed by the Regional Directorate of Highways, establishes the intercity connection of the district and facilitates access to Seferihisar. Speaking about the works of the Regional Directorate of Highways, AK Party Seferihisar District President Ahmet Aydın said, “As everyone knows, Seferihisar is a touristic district with a high summer population and heavy visitor potential. Transportation to our district is very easy thanks to the highway work of our Regional Directorate of Highways, which provides our connection both with Izmir city center and between cities. It took a breather with the main road work of Seferihisar Highways. But the situation is not good at all in the district center and on the roads between the neighborhoods. Visitors who want to explore the whole district when they come to Seferihisar before, give up when they see the roads in the district center. This is causing our tradesmen to lose jobs, too,” he said.

Emphasizing that the main road work carried out by the Regional Directorate of Highways makes the Seferihisar road much safer, Mayor Aydın said, “Road safety is very important, the main road work done by our Regional Directorate of Highways has revealed a very healthy and safe road. Attention was paid to the road safety provided when coming to our district, at the entrance of the Industrial Site, which is located at the entrance of the district. Many sad accidents have happened here before. In order to prevent this, a junction and a good signaling work were done there,” he said.
