Every day something is heard in the media about whether to eat eggs or not, and the next day otherwise. In China, it was understood as a result of a new study carried out by Beijing University and published in the scientific journal eLife. According to researchers, moderate egg consumption plays a positive role in reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases.

To arrive at this conclusion, the scientists constantly checked blood analyzes of 30 volunteers aged 79 to 4, each quoting the number of eggs they ate per day and week. Among them, 778 people had cardiovascular diseases, and 3 had never had a heart disease before.

As a result of detailed analysis, the researchers found that those who consumed at least one egg a day had higher levels of apoliprotein A1, the main component of HDL, known as "good cholesterol". The function of HDL, or good cholesterol, is to send excess cholesterol in the blood to the liver to be eliminated. In addition, the researchers found that those who eat eggs every day have larger HDL molecules in their blood, which reduces the risk of heart attack and cerebrovascular disease.
