Konya Metropolitan Municipality organizes a photography contest with the theme of "Bicycle City Konya" in order to encourage the use of bicycles. The deadline for the competition is 19 August 2022.
Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that they continue to work to raise awareness in Konya, which has 550 kilometers of bicycle paths and hosts pioneering practices in the field of bicycles.
Stating that they have carried out exemplary works in Turkey to spread the use of bicycles to large masses due to its features such as being a sustainable, environmentally friendly, healthy and economical means of transportation, President Altay said, “We are organizing a photography contest for the second time to bring bicycles together with the art of photography. With this competition, we wish to raise awareness by further increasing the existing cycling culture in Konya. I invite all amateur or professional photographers to participate in the competition.” said.
Konya Metropolitan, which has held a photography contest with the theme of "Bicycle City Konya" and two painting contests for 4th and 7th Grade students in the last year, will give cash prizes to the winners of the "Bicycle City Konya" themed photography contest to be held for the second time.
