Applications for the specialist and head teacher training program, which will be organized for the first time in Turkey by the Ministry of National Education (MEB), will continue until June 10, starting from the Ministry of National Education Information Processing System (MEBBİS).

According to the schedule for the "Teacher Career Stages Exam", specialist teacher training will be held between July 18 and September 5, and head teacher training will be held between July 18 and September 19.

Applications can be made between September 26 and October 3 for the written exam. The Teaching Career Stages Exam will be held on 19 November in 81 provinces. Exam results will be announced on 12 December 2022.

The certificates of the teachers who are entitled to receive certificates will be issued on January 4, 2023, and teachers who have the title of expert teacher/head teacher will benefit from the education and training compensation stipulated for these titles as of January 15, 2023.

Teachers who have served in teaching for 10 years, including candidacy, as of the last day of the written exam application date, will be able to apply to the Specialist Teacher Training Program, and specialist teachers who have at least 10 years of service as a specialist teacher as of the last day of the written exam application date can apply to the Head Teacher Training Program.

Among those who work as teachers/expert teachers in official education institutions affiliated to the Ministry, whether they meet the requirements for the Specialist Teaching and Headteacher Training Program will be evaluated by the provincial commissions established within the framework of the Novice Teacher and Teaching Career Steps Regulation.

Professional development studies, which is one of the conditions sought for teachers/expert teachers who will apply for the titles of specialist teacher and head teacher, are "Education, Training and Guidance" in such a way that all branch / field teachers working in official education institutions and private education institutions under the Ministry can do at least one of their duties in each field. Its studies were determined as three areas, namely Management Participation Studies and Research and Development Studies.

Those who will apply for the title of expert teacher / head teacher among teachers / specialist teachers working in official education institutions and private education institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education will need to complete a study in at least two of the three fields of study in order to complete their professional development studies.
