The renewable energy summit will be held in İzmir, the capital of the sector, hosted by the Aegean Exporters' Associations. “Renewable Energy and Sustainability Summit” will bring together all parties of the renewable energy sector on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at the Aegean Exporters' Association Conference Hall.
Aegean Exporters' Unions Coordinator President Jak Eskinazi stated that the world's energy demand is increasing day by day and that it is vitally important for the world to meet the need from renewable energy sources compatible with the environment.
Eskinazi stated that “In a growing economy, providing reliable and low-cost energy in an environmentally sustainable manner has become indispensable in terms of energy policies”, adding that “İzmir is the center of Turkey in terms of renewable energy resources and equipment production. Looking at the general picture, the rate of energy obtained from renewable sources in electricity production in Turkey has exceeded 20 percent. Our goal is to increase this rate to over 50 percent," he said.

He added that they are working to establish the Equipment Exporters' Association based in İzmir.
Journalist Banu Şen was the meeting manager of the “Renewable Energy and Sustainability Summit”, while Aegean Exporters' Unions Coordinator President Jak Eskinazi, Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources General Manager of Energy Affairs Dr. Ömer Erdem, Chairman of the Parliamentary Industry, Trade, Energy, Natural Resources, Information and Technologies Commission Ziya Altunyaldız will make the opening speeches.
In the first session of the “Renewable Energy and Sustainability Summit”, moderated by Journalist Murat Gülderen; ENSİA President Alper Kalaycı, GENSED President Halil Demirdağ, TPI Composite EMEA CFO Özgür Soysal and GENSED Vice President Tolga Murat Özdemir will attend as speakers.
In the second session; Biogasder President Altan Denizsel, Teksis Advanced Technologies General Manager Hüseyin Devrim and JESDER President Ufuk Şentürk will be the speakers, while Journalist Bilal Emin Turan will be the moderator.
