With the circular published in today's issue of the Official Gazette, the week covering June 5 will be celebrated every year as “Turkey Environment Week” with a theme to be announced by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change. In the circular emphasizing that the celebrations should be held in a more participatory and multi-stakeholder manner throughout Turkey, it was requested that all kinds of support, aid and convenience that may be needed in order to carry out the activities in the best way, should be fulfilled without delay by all public institutions and organizations.

The circular regulating Turkey Environment Week and its activities was published in the Official Gazette with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

World Environment Day, which is celebrated under a different theme every year with the slogan "One World"; It will be celebrated in 2022 with the emphasis on sustainable, nature-friendly, cleaner and greener life.

According to the circular; In our country, where environmental awareness is increasing day by day on the protection of the natural environment, the creation of sustainable living environments, and the fight against climate change, the week of June 5 every year in order to organize the World Environment Day celebrations in a more participatory and multi-stakeholder manner, and to evaluate environmental problems and developments. and "Turkey Environment Week" with a theme to be announced by the Ministry of Climate Change.

All activities to be organized within the scope of Turkey Environment Week will be carried out together with relevant public institutions and organizations within the framework of the procedures and principles to be determined by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change. The events to be determined by the Presidency will be held under the auspices of the Presidency. Logos, posters, announcements, invitations, advertisements and similar documents and visual documents related to the events to be held will be designed in accordance with the zero waste concept within the framework of efficient use of resources. The expenses of the events to be held will be covered by the relevant public institutions and organizations.

In the circular, it was also requested that all necessary support, assistance and convenience be provided by all public institutions and organizations without delay in order to carry out the activities to be organized within the scope of Turkey Environment Week in the best way possible.

"World Environment Day" has been celebrated on June 1972th since the United Nations Environment Conference in 5 to raise awareness about environmental protection.
