The regulation on the extension of the Covid-31 permits of convicts in open prisons, which will expire on May 19, until July 31, 2023, in the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, was added to the bill, which is being discussed in the General Assembly. Within the scope of Covid-19 measures, the leave periods of convicts in open prisons, which will expire on May 31, are being extended.

Discussions on the Bill on Amending the Banking Law and Some Laws and the Decree Law No. 655 are continuing in the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly.

In the meetings, with the proposal submitted with the joint signature of the political party groups, an article was created regarding the extension of the leave periods of the convicts in open prisons within the scope of the Covid-31 measures, which will expire on May 2022, 19.

According to the accepted article, due to the fact that the Covid-19 epidemic was seen in Turkey, those in open penal institutions and those in closed penal institutions are entitled to be allocated to open penitentiary institutions. kazanConvicts at the same time, convicts who have been sentenced to be executed by applying the probation measure, and convicts benefiting from the probation measure will be considered on leave until July 31, 2023.

If the epidemic continues, this period may be extended 2 times, not exceeding 19 months each time, by the Ministry of Justice upon the recommendation of the Ministry of Health.
